Learn to make Jule's hat with molded brim!
Take a class with award winning doll artist Pamela Bachmayer.

Included in your class is a kit with fabric, online pattern and instructions and group support! The kit will give you the basics in making your own silk hat like Jule's!

Included with the kit is an online class with chat and email support. The online class gives you step by step photos with instructions so you can see exactly what you need to do! You will also learn how to adapt the pattern and technique to make your hat for any size doll! Email and chat support will be available as you need it.

Jules' hat is just one of the features that made her a Crystal Award winner in the 2004 BMAA Domestic Daywear Competition.

The online class will be to make a hat to fit an 11 1/2 in doll with your kit. Instructions for other size dolls will be given during the online classes. Email and chat support provided as well!

Each student will be given membership into my yahoo group specifically for this class. This group is available for you as long as I'm holding the classes and you wish to stay. Students are welcome to ask questions and share their projects with the class. Previous students have requested to stay part of the group as well. 

NOTE: The blue curve/ruler is a graphic artist tool found in the art dept of most craft stores. This is NOT needed to make your hat as a pattern is provided. However, it is needed if you plan to learn how to make your own pattern and is a VERY handy tool when drafting or altering patterns. The best description I can give of this tool is that it is like a flexible blue colored ruler used to draw curves, etc. You can pick up a curve for about $5.00. How to make your own pattern is covered in the workshop. The mini iron and ironing board SHOULD be a priority for anyone who makes doll clothing to provide professional finishes to your doll garments.

Additional instructions and patterns are made available on occasion to all students so you have the opportunity to learn more as time goes on. There is no set time or number of additional patterns, only as I have time to create additional projects and am able to upload to the class. No guarantees on the extra projects, they are just freebies/perks for students.
